Totoro - 20 years anniversary

In April 1988 one of the loveliest animated film from Studio Ghibli saw the light of day. So, I couldn't help but celebrate and draw one of my favourite moments in the movie.. :)

you managed to create something as cute as the real totoro, well done! It's my favourite Studio Ghibli as well.
The flash animation in your previous post is really impressive. Do you work on paper first, or do you start really rough in flash, or are you just too talented?

Marcos! Great to hear from you, thanks!

Jeroen...hehe, thank you for that :)
I didn't use paper at all for those animations, actually what you see is the first pass, done directly in flash. Someone else, somewhere else have made the cleanup using another software. Well, thanks again!

Happy Birthday, Totoro San!
Boh, chissà se avrà capito!
Anche se il mio preferito è Porco Rosso, Tonari No Totoro rimane un capolavoro!
Ho visto Skunk Fu su Sky...hahahaha, ma è animatissimo! Bello! Complimenti!

Has it been 20 years? It seems like it was just a few years ago. Oof, I was already working at a studio when one of the guys brought in a bootleg Japanese VHS tape, without dubbing or translation. It blew my mind!!! Alas, that was 20 years ago. Time flies when you are having fun.

Hey thank you all!

Shuku, yes no more pirates, but I have to admit I loved drawing them! Hope you're well!

Genevieve, thank you :) All good here in Turin, hope to see you here some day, I feel like we should go shopping together!

Marceloo :) So nice to hear from you, how's it going? You're right, time flies when you are having fun! but man, you were working already at a studio at that time?? I was only at Mei's age!!!! O_O
